Yes, I know you also have good memories of him, Michael. Like the time at Oracle when he licked his way into a one pound bag of catnip, and took 5 days to sleep it off....
Thank you....
Lex, I am sorry for you loss as well. Its so hard to lose a friend that has been with you for so long.
Badger was the most delightful, quirky and resilient cat I've ever known. He went through a few changes of residence, an amputation and a long term viral eye and chest infection and yet he was the best friend a girl could have.
I still remember the smell of his fur, the feel of his paws and tail on my face and fingertips, the sound of his growly meow; and the way he'd muscle his way onto the bed and snore like a 400 lb sumo wrestler until I kicked up in the kidneys and told him to roll over.
He loved his catnip, and his chicken and his cheese; olives drove him absolutely bananas. He was fierce and playful, and yet was also a thoughtful, sensitive gentleman that would walk the dog with us (at least as far as he could on three legs) and let go of your toe if you asked him nicely.
I've missed him every day since I left Canada, but I suppose I did say goodbye when I left.
i am the girl that can talk for hours about science fiction. i order a big mac, fries and a DIET coke. i leave my car windows open but lock the doors. i am a natural athlete, yet i cannot get a child-proof cap open without help. i am smart enough to build a nuclear reactor, but i still tie my shoelaces togther sometimes. i am routinely outsmarted by small appliances. i trip over "watch your step" signs. i had once believed the swiffer to be the pinnacle of human acheivement, but then i discovered mashed potatos in a bag.......
i laugh too loud, i drink too much and i love too deeply.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my cat of 20 years not long ago, so I can somewhat relate to how you are feeling.
Oh my love,
That touched me :(
I remember when he wandered into the store...
Peace and Blessings....
with love!
Lil Sparrow....
(at least you are not experiencing our two feet of snow !!!!)

I know he's with God now.
