and the debate whimpers on...

funny, in my conversation yesterday with the archdeacon here in toronto, some very strong words on sydney's position on this matter were spoken (and not by me, believe it or not!)

archdeacon fenty described it as "revolting" and "repugnant" and an affront to the ministry of all believers and the way that expresses itself through all humanity.

i'd be interested in your views....

Agreed.

Who are we, meaning all of mankind, to say that women cannot be ordained?

"Change don't come easy"...i've heard that drilled into my head over and over and over again....

Why not look at the evidence around us...It seems to show that women are wonderful Pastors, as are men. It's the "calling" or the "soul" that really counts, not gender.

I believe that God has intentions for all of us, but again, we have what one might refer to as "free will." We must seek the divinity within ourselves and do what God has meant for us to do, spread His Word...

Which is your decision, and you are inclined to share your wisdom, which, in a sense, comes back to what God told Abraham and Sarah "You are blessed to be a blessing."

"He is wise, I'm just this guy...you know?"

You are one who chooses to proclaim your love to God, and, putting John F. Kennedy's words into another form, asking not what God can do for you, but what you can do for God.
