the joys of internet dating: part the seventh

you know you are ready to fall in love again when you can look at pictures of your ex, think back on all the things you shared - the good, the bad and the ugly... and you know you are truly ready when you can truly look inside your heart and ask yourself that fundamental question:

what the HELL was i thinking??????

you know you are ready to fall in love again when you realize that dumping you was actually the best thing your ex ever did for you, because in removing himself from the picture, he set you free to find something better.....

you know you are ready to fall in love again when it occurs to you to write a thank-you note to every man that has ever passed on you, because in so doing they were holding the door onto a better world open for you...

you know you are ready to fall in love again when you read back over your protestations of undying love for someone you will likely never see again, and fall off your chair laughing at your own foolishness.... (careful, i hurt myself doing that... -ed.)

somehow, you just know............

I admit, a bit selfishly, I've tuned in for your mini-series on internet dating because its always been somewhat tragic comedy, or a comedic tragedy. A train wreck with a circus on board!

It looks like it may pull out a happy ending after all! Glad to hear it! A good story with a happy ending is definately the way to go.

Yeah heart wants what it wants, thats for damn sure.

I found that if you feed it chewing gum and ignore it that it'll go a good year or so before it realizes you've duped it so you can feel numb to avoid your own misery.

On the other hand, it might just be easier to surrender your self to your weaknesses and allow another person to complete you, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna try that anytime soon.

Think of internet dating, hell any kind of dating , as an exercise in pain thresh-hold management. The good always comes with the bad, and you never seem to have what you need on hand to keep your face from the flames.
